COVID-19

By March 17, 2020 No Comments

We would like to give you an update on the COVID-19 situation at our clinic. All our employees who have tested positive are doing ok. Each of them has various symptoms and seem to be doing ok.

Dr. Heather tested positive today. She has not been in the clinic since Friday, February 12, 2021. That day she did surgery only and did not see any patients in an exam room. Her symptoms began on Tuesday, February 16, 2021.

Due to the number of recent positive cases, we have decided to close our clinic from Friday, February 19 through Sunday, February 21, 2021. We will be disinfecting the entire clinic on Friday. We will be rescheduling all our appointments for Friday. However, we will be able for emergencies by calling 912-756-7560. Our answering service will be contacting the doctor on call.

We apologize for any inconvenience that this may cause. Our goal is to stop the spread of this virus and minimize any more sickness while taking care of you and your pet. Thank you for understanding. Once again, please call us at 912-756-7560 for any emergencies.

Thank you,

Kyle and Heather

Thank you so much for all your patience and loyalty to our clinic during this past year. We greatly appreciate your flexibility and understanding as we have navigated through this pandemic. Because we value you as our clients, we want to be open and honest with you. We would like to be as transparent and honest as we can.

Consequently, we are writing to let you know that we have another outbreak of COVID-19 at our clinic. We found out yesterday that one of our employees who does not have contact with any clients or pets tested positive. This person has not worked since Friday. We had a few other employees who became sick over the weekend and have not worked since Friday as well. They tested positive for COVID-19 today. Since then, a couple of our other employees tested positive. They were at work until about noon today. All the employees who are positive are on the reception staff.

All our employees are doing fine, but some are sicker than others. Please pray for them. We are also praying for each of you.

As a result, we are noticeably short staffed. Therefore, we will be closing the lobby for the next 7-14 days. We will also be limiting the number of appointments that we make and slowing the flow of patients down considerably. Please be patient with us. As we have said earlier, we are trying to still provide quality medicine for your pets in the safest environment possible. We will do the best that we can to accommodate your needs and the needs of your pets.

Once again, thank you for your patience and your understanding. We are praying for the health of each of you and each of our employees. We apologize for any inconvenience that this may cause. We will keep you updated as this situation progresses.

To Our Valued Clients,

Thank you again for all of your loyalty and support especially for the last week as we have been doing curbside service. Your words of gratitude and encouragement and your thoughtful deeds mean so much to us. They give us the energy and motivation to keep going and working during these difficult times.

We want to be honest and transparent and keep you updated. Dr. Serina tested positive yesterday for COVID-19. She saw patients and was in the clinic yesterday until around 11:30 a.m. As soon as we were made aware of her symptoms, Dr. Serina was tested.

As a result, Dr. Serina will be quarantined for the next 14 days. We are asking you to please be patient with us. We currently have only two veterinarians that are able to work. We are doing our best to provide quality care for you and your pets. We will continue to offer curbside service ONLY. No client is allowed into our building unless you are saying goodbye to your pet.

Please pray for the safety and health of our staff. Dr. Kyle and Dr. Jennifer and our other employees are slowly improving and feeling better. We are praying for you and for wisdom in how to proceed with our business. Our staff’s and your safety and well being are of utmost importance.

Thank you once again for your loyalty and support. You are valued and appreciated. Please feel free to call us at 912-756-7560 if you have any questions or concerns.

God bless you!
Thanks so much,
Kyle and Heather

To Our Valued Clients,

We would like to thank you, our clients, for all of your loyalty and support over the last 23 years and especially the last eight months. We value each of you. As a result, we want to be transparent and as honest as we can be.

We have recently had some of our staff test positive for COVID-19. One was diagnosed on Sunday and two were diagnosed yesterday. All of them are doing fine but are still sick. Dr. Kyle and Dr. Jennifer and one of our technicians tested positive. Dr. Kyle has not been in the clinic to see patients since November 5th. He performed surgeries on November 9th but had no contact with clients. Dr. Jennifer saw patients on November 10th for the last time and then was out of the office. Our technician last worked on November 11th.

As a result, we will be closing our lobby beginning Wednesday, November 18, 2020 for an indefinite amount of time. We will still make and see appointments and do surgery and drop offs as well as boarding. However, you will not be allowed in the building. We will also still dispense medicines as we have been doing. When you arrive at the clinic, please call 912-756-7560 and someone will come to your car to assist you. After the doctor has seen your animal, you will receive a phone call or a car side visit from a veterinarian or technician. We are still available for you to provide the quality that you expect and deserve. We are going to stay open to serve you as long as we feel it is safe and in everyone’s best interests.

Thank you again for your continued loyalty and support. Our goal is to provide quality veterinary care in the safest environment possible. We are praying for Dr. Kyle, Dr. Jennifer, and our technician for healing. We are also praying for the safety and wellness of you, our clients, and the rest of our staff. God is in control and will take care of all of us. Thanks for understanding.

God bless you!
Thanks so much,

To Whom It May Concern,

First of all, thank you for all of your loyalty and support during this whole COVID-19 pandemic. We are grateful and blessed to have such amazing clients that are flexible and that trust us to take care of your pets.

We want to be as transparent as possible with you, our clients. One of our employees was tested for corona this past week. Her test came back as positive this morning. Our employee has not worked since June 18th except for a few hours on the morning of June 25th. She works in the treatment area of our clinic and does have any direct contact with any of you, our clients. When I talked to her this morning, she is feeling much better and will be quarantined for the next ten days. Please pray for her continued recovery.

Please know that we are taking every precaution to protect our staff and you, our clients. We are increasing the deep cleaning of our clinic to three days per day. We will continue to disinfect each exam room between patients. We again will close from 12 noon to 1p.m. to disinfect the lobby. We will require all of our staff to wear masks to decrease the spread of infection. We will also institute curbside serve to take your pets from the car, examine them inside, and return your pet to the car. If you choose curbside service, you may not speak directly with a veterinarian, but you will receive a phone call.

Please be patient with us. Many of our employees have decided to not work for a while and quarantine themselves. As a result, you may once again experience longer waiting periods and a delay in making appointments. We are doing the best that we can to provide prompt, quality service for your pets and you, our clients.

We appreciate every one of you. We are praying for your health, the health of our staff, and the health of our country. Please pray for us as we continue to lead our clinic through this pandemic. We believe that God is in control.

Please call us at 912-756-7560 if you have any questions or concerns

To Our Valued Clients,
We are so thankful for each of you and the way that you supported us during the COVID-19 pandemic. Thank you for your patience and understanding as we have had to change our protocols and procedures. We have had to make some hard decisions to protect our clinic, our staff, and you, our clients.

As a result, we made the decision to close on Saturdays during this pandemic. We needed to allow our staff time to rest.

We have evaluated our current policies in light of moving forward and the current COVID-19 situation. As owners of Cedar Animal Hospital, we have made the difficult decision to permanently be closed on Saturdays. This was not decided on without a lot of debate and discussion about all aspects of our business.

First, Saturdays are chaotic days for us at Cedar Animal Hospital. We have become concerned that we are providing the highest quality of veterinary care and client communication because of the busyness. As a result, we feel it is best to close on Saturdays and continue to provide the quality veterinary care that you, our clients, deserve and expect.

Second, we would like to provide ourselves and our staff with a higher quality of life. The veterinary profession is demanding, and we love it. However, we would like to protect our staff from being exhausted and burned out and to provide our staff with time away from Cedar to recuperate and relax and refuel to better serve you, our clients.

We realize that most of our clients depend on two jobs to maintain their quality of life and Saturdays are the only day to visit the veterinarian. Consequently, we will be extending business hours on Tuesdays and Thursdays until 8 p.m. The last appointment will be at 7:30 p.m.; however, we will be open until 8 p.m. to pick up pets or products or to drop off your pet for boarding or surgery the following day.

We know and understand that this will cause some inconveniences for some of you. We apologize in advance for that. We are still here daily for you and will continue to provide the highest quality and standard of veterinary care to you and your pets that we possibly can.

We appreciate each of you. We are grateful to you. Thank you for your understanding.

Please call us at 912-756-7560 if you have any questions or concerns

Thank you,

To Our Valued Clients,

First of all, we would like to say thank you for your continued support and patience during this COVID-19 pandemic. Please continue to be patient as we are still extremely short staffed. We are doing the best that we can to still provide quality veterinary care while protecting our staff and you, our clients.

Secondly, we have some good news to share. Both of our employees who were being tested for COVID-19 are improving. Both of the tests were NEGATIVE. Both of our employees are still not working as they are recuperating at home.

Please remember that we will be closed for the rest of the Saturdays in April. We apologize for any inconvenience that this may cause. However, our staff needs a day to rest and rejuvenate in order to better serve you during the week.

We are thankful for each of you. We are praying for you, our country, and our staff. God is in control and will be with us during these difficult times.

Thanks again,

Kyle and Heather

To Our Valued Clients,

We are monitoring the COVID-19 situation closely and are changing our business operations accordingly. We are still awaiting the test results from our two employees. Both of them are improving and are quarantined at their homes. We will keep you updated as we have more information to share.

To continue to provide quality service to you our clients, we are amending our normal procedures. We will be closed on Saturdays in April. Our last Saturday that we will be open is April 4. We will be open normal hours on that Saturday and then closed on Saturdays for the rest of April. The office will maintain normal hours Monday through Friday.

We are extremely short staffed at this time. About 50% of our staff have chosen to stay home to protect themselves and their families. Consequently, we are decreasing the number of doctors seeing patients at this time. We usually ave three doctors seeing appointments. Because of COVID-19, we will now only have two doctors available at one time. As a result, appointments may not be as available as they have been. We will give priority to the sick patients. Also, please BE PATIENT WITH US. Our staff is working hard and doing all that they can do. We are all trying to provide the best quality care for our clients and patients.

We greatly appreciate you. We are praying for you, our country, our staff, and our clinic. Thank you for your patience and continued support of us at Cedar Animal Hospital.

Thanks,

To Our Valued Clients,

We want to be completely open and honest with you during this COVID-19 pandemic. We have two employees that are not working due to illness. Both of these employees are under the care of medical personnel. They have been treated for the last 10 days and were not tested for the corona virus due to mild clinical signs. We were informed yesterday that their medical teams decided to test both of these employees. We will not receive the results of the tests for a few days.

These employees have not worked at our clinic recently. One of the employees has not been at Cedar since March 18, 2020. The other employee has not worked since March 19, 2020 except for a short period of time on March 25, 2020. The employee returned to work as instructed by her doctor. However, due to her not feeling well, we instructed her to continue her quarantine at home.

We value each of you. Our goal is to do everything we can to keep you as our clients safe, our employees safe, and continue to provide medical care for your pets. We will continue to keep you updated. We are praying for you, our country, and our clinic. We are thankful for you and your support of Cedar Animal Hospital. God is in control.

Thanks,

To Our Valued Clients,

We are still closely monitoring the COVID-19 pandemic. As a result, we are modifying some of our procedures concerning our lobby.

Our lobby becomes overcrowded between the hours of 7:30-9:00 a.m. and 4:30-6:00 p.m. Please avoid coming into the lobby during these times if at all possible. We will begin to close our lobby for short periods of time if overcrowding occurs. Our lobby will be closed long enough to clear the people and pets and then we will re-open. This should only take 15-20 minutes.

We are also asking our clients to make appointments. We will not be accepting walk ins or run to the backs unless it is an emergency. This is to decrease wait times and congestion in our lobby.

Also, we are asking you, our clients, to please call ahead for refills and medications including heartworm and flea medications that is needed. We will be happy to take your credit card number and process your payment over the phone. When you arrive to pick up your product, please call us and we will gladly bring your product out to you in your car.

We appreciate your support and effort to help control the COVID-19 pandemic. We are experiencing a shortness in our staff, so please be patient. We are doing everything we can to still provide care and services for you and your pet. Please be patient. We are continuing to pray and monitor the situation closely.

Thanks,

Kyle and Heather

To all Valued Clients,

We are and have been closely monitoring the situation with the COVID-19 virus. As of now, our hospital will be operating as normal including normal business hours. We are disinfecting the lobby many times during the day. The door handles and exam rooms are disinfected between each patient. Our lobby becomes very congested and over crowded during 7:30 am to 9:00 am and 4:30 pm to 6:00 pm. We are asking you, our clients, to pick up or drop off your animals during non-peak hours if possible.

Please be patient with us. As school closes and the situation evolves, we may experience a shortness in our staff. As a result, wait times may be prolonged. Our staff’s health is of utmost importance. Consequently, please do not enter our office if you are experiencing any of the clinical signs consistent with the COVID-19 virus. We will update you as quickly as possible as the situation changes. We will be here for you and your pets for as long as possible. We are praying for you and for our country. We are monitoring the situation closely. Thank you for your business, cooperation, and support.

Thanks,
